Welcome Mr. Robert

Beckmann, Principal

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new principal of St. Charles Borromeo (SCB).  I am certainly both thankful and proud to have the opportunity to lead a school that is rich in Catholic tradition and has produced so many outstanding scholars. I will place an unwavering emphasis on building relationships with the community, our scholars, staff, parents, all stakeholders, and the Parish.  These relationships will serve as a conduit for achieving our goals, serving God, and reaching our daily objectives in a collegial manner.  As your principal, it is important for me to build a culture and climate that is conducive to higher learning and Catholic stewardship.  Everyone who walks the halls of SCB must hear learning, feel a nurturing environment, and gain a sense of our committed drive to provide our scholars with a “top-notch” education. Know that I will put students first, be visible, listen, and empower.  Our scholars are unequivocally the most important people in the building and they are at the top of my list.  Also, know that I will be direct and accountable.  I will be transparent so all stakeholders know and become familiar with my values, goals, and objectives. As a principal I will have to make difficult decisions and I will make mistakes.  When a mistake happens I will take ownership and improve. Sincerely, Robert Beckmann Principal – St. Charles Borromeo

St. Charles Borromeo  Parish School
Mission: A Catholic Community Dedicated to Faith, Family and Future. Vision: We are a faith community rooted in the Catholic tradition and the Gospel teachings, challenged to further our Baptismal call. We believe our Catholic education education provides opportunities to: Grow spiritually and morally through religious instruction, prayer, and the Eucharistic celebration of the sacraments. Develop intellectually through a strong academic curriculum. Promote positive social interactions which value and respect the dignity and worth of each human person. Share our time, talent, treasure with others in our global community. Values: Spiritual: We will provide opportunities for spiritual growth in an effort to develop personal relationship with God. This comes through participation in liturgical and sacramental programs, daily prayer, a sequential religion curriculum, and personal example. Moral: We will encourage the development of Catholic virtues, attitudes, and habits necessary for Christ like living in our society. Intellectual: We will emphasize core academic skills using a sequential curriculum with exposure to different learning and cultural activities, thereby recognizing and working with students' strengths and weaknesses. Emotional: We will provide experiences that will help students nurture attitudes of accountability, self worth, responsible freedom and respectful love. We will encourage students to grow to appropriate levels of maturation and learn to set and carry out goals. We will recommend testing and counseling if necessary. Social: We will cultivate in each student a respect for fellow students, an acceptance of individual differences and a tolerance for others' beliefs through social interaction, courtesy, and refinement of speech and conduct. Physical: We will guide the development of students' fine and gross motor skills, while promoting an awareness of healthful practices.
